Let’s make tahini! Place your sesame seeds in a pan over a low to medium heat until golden. This will enhance the sesame flavor. Don’t let them burn. Let them cool down to room temperature. Then, grind up the seeds until you get an oily paste with the consistency of peanut butter. You can do this using a mortar and pestle, or you could also use a coffee grinder. Alternatively, you can just buy a jar of already made tahini, that’s what I do most of the time anyways. That is the shortcut I was talking about.
